This past Friday, August 28, 2026, at the Consulate General of Brazil in Miami, we celebrated the inaugural edition of the Marília Ramos Ferguson Scholarship. The initiative was created in honor of Marília Ramos Ferguson, mother of our member Monica Ribeiro, and her lifelong dedication to education. The scholarship is proudly presented by BBG.
We were honored to have Ambassador Marco Farani, Consul General of Brazil in Miami, with us, alongside leaders of the Brazilian community, educators, members of our Scholarship Committee, the press, family, and friends.
Three exceptional scholarship recipients were chosen by the Scholarship Board, Kathleen Mel Barbosa, Camily Tidre, and Beatriz Lazzarotti. Their stories, achievements, leadership, and commitment to our community inspired all of us. May this scholarship be the beginning of many wonderful accomplishments ahead. ✨
