The BBG “Doing Business with Brazil” event, held on June 11th, 2024, in partnership with the Broward County Office of Economic and Small Business Development (OESBD), was a key international trade and business development initiative aimed at strengthening economic ties between South Florida and Brazil. The event took place at the Broward Center for the Performing Arts in Fort Lauderdale and gathered entrepreneurs, government representatives, and business leaders interested in expanding cross-border trade and investment opportunities.
The program focused on providing practical guidance for companies seeking to enter or grow within the Brazilian and U.S. markets. Participants gained insights into international trade procedures, export readiness, procurement opportunities, and strategies for building sustainable business relationships across both regions. Representatives from Broward County shared resources available to small and medium-sized businesses, emphasizing the county’s commitment to supporting global entrepreneurship and fostering inclusive economic growth. The event also served as a platform for networking between local companies and international delegates, encouraging collaboration across industries such as services, technology, and trade.
Beyond its educational component, the event highlighted BBG’s ongoing mission to connect the Brazilian business community with key institutional partners in Florida. By working alongside Broward County, BBG continues to promote initiatives that open doors for international entrepreneurs, strengthen multicultural business networks, and position South Florida as a strategic hub for global commerce. The June 11th session reinforced the importance of public-private partnerships in driving economic development and creating long-term opportunities for businesses on both sides of the Americas.
